After the reign of Porfirios Diaz, came the Mexican Revolution in 1910. It was a small disapproval and dispute between Porfirio Diaz and Francisco Madero. Franciso disagreed with some of the things Porfirio had been proposing. Diaz ultimately refused to participate in allowing clean fair elections, and after that the revolution had begun. The Mexican Revolution showed tremendous importance because it introduced a sense identity and meaning. It also established a constitutional republic as well as guidelines to follow for the future Mexican policies and hopeful leaders. Mexico is formally named the United States and is a federal constitutional republic. The Mexican Revolution established the current constitution in 1917. The Mexican Revolution was so important to the establishment of the government because it is now officially named Estados Unidos Mexicanos. There are three levels of the Mexican Federal Representative Republic; The Federal Union, the State Governments, and the Municipal Governments.2 Enrique Pena Nieto is the current President, he took office in the late months of 2012.
